such a saturday. french maidens & art fairs = amazing combo;)

kidding!

woke up early early and had my beautiful morning walk in the woods. food store & some make up later i was ready to travel to sloane square in order to reach chelsea's old town hall where the parallax art fair was to (is) hold place. came across some cuteness talent while devouring sauvignon blanc. will create a diary post soon so you'll see some of the artists work then. 

sloane square and saturdays:) perfection market full of wonderfully created cakes & foods, there is too champagne if one is up for it:) walked to victoria station and my train was happily waiting for me so am already now back home in dulwich! in my fave cafe the french house.

A Location Scouting Inspirational Friday

happy friday

today i knew was to be a sunshine day, so it had to be a location scouting day. i had chosen richmond and to follow the thames path west, to try find my last place for part 10 of my princesse tuvstarr tale. i know now that this will not be it. next try will be petts woods! i love richmond though. such a wonderful place. i started out at whole foods to find a snack then i passed by ham house (which i am to go back to for exploring beautiful art and a magic garden), only to find myself on a never ending walk along the thames river....i was to find a bridge to take me over to the other side and it was like it did not want to be found.

then i became the strawberry girl

YES to that!

the first comment i got having arrived in richmond for my location scouting day was if i was out sleep walking hahaha. yes i am wearing my in-house pyjamas. i NEED to feel comfy at the moment. maybe especially since it is ice cold and i need to feel warm and like the world is my house, see?

i am finding inspiration in fashion photography again:))) this makes me so happy since i have been bored to be honest for quite a long time and that has made me not buying any magazines. i am someone who has devoured such things since i was a child. thank goodness inspiration is back.

i had a couple of appointments in central london today & decided that afterwards i was to have an adventure/ explorer day. i just started wandering around, exploring streets i had not been on before & entered churches and whatever buildings i came across or simply put just devoured it all from the outside. in the end i came to st. james park which is not new to me but every single time i am in awe of the birds in this wonderful place:)))

i love getting married;0)!

yesterday was 10 degrees (plus), so i had time to create in peace it being not ice cold. i have my corpse bride now. it feels GOOD. i was in the moment & i made sure the angle was what i had envisioned before snapping away. i even played more with make up for once. talcum powder perfection with mac's cyber lipstick and nars bewitched on my checks. such fun!

The Beauty of Decay

i created the image above for my auntie on valentine's day. the auntie i call my second mom. it was her birthday on friday. this day happened to be a very sad day for me so she did not get the attention from me in the way she deserves. next year, the 13th of february is to be hers again.

all day i was looking to find something special to shoot with my camera. but decided that the roses from my tuvstarr & corpse bride shoots would be the special subject that i needed/ was looking for. it's a polaroid image which i scanned and then put in to photoshop. i played here for a while. this little gift/project was my valentine's day:)

A Blessed Be Bumble Bee Inspiration Wednesday

my aunt & step father gifted me with a wonderful scanner which i am learning how to work at the moment:) started with a collage i created last year. soon i'll move on to my diana, holga & polaroid prints! i have about 300 to scan & from what i'm starting to understand is that one print is to take about 10 minutes. hallelujah! patience mademoiselle saga.

these 2 images are a spread in my 3rd book full of collages. as you may know, to create a collage a day was a 365 day art project of mine that i started the 14th of february 2013! i only missed 1 or 2 days:) this collage however was created in april of 2014. i had promised myself to create something (anything) every day for my next year starting the 14th of 2014 which i have been doing, even if that only meant playing with an image via various iphone apps or creating a tiny doodle.

A Mischievous Cat Corpse Bride Violette Monday

a taste of my violette corpse bride

i am in the middle of creating my corpse bride (the version where she has violette hair & purple lipstick, see a taste of version 1 here which is basically the same but no violette touches),  i got the poses right this past friday but the angle is wrong...today i re-shot it and the angle is perfect but my poses are all wrong.

i need to learn how to cut a person out of a picture only to put it back into another frame. i have shot my location on its own. now i just need to learn some techniques in photoshop:)

 only god knows why i tried to re-create the same poses today since i know from experience that it never works...!!! a moment is a moment and today could have been a moment if i had let it.

 the sun came out too...!!! which it was not meant to. it was supposed to be dark clouds.

such problemas;0)!!!!

in the end the sun made my day!!!:)) cause we were given spring. i created an extra walk and just felt happiness creeping up. thanks!

another reason for today's smiles:) this cat basically owns the gardens (or so she thinks)!

A Beautiful Life

this morning:)))))))))

a winter wonderland in sydenhamhill wood

first snow in london! no games of thrones happened today because i went on a photo mad type of capturing beauty mission. i was first:) so no foot steps. pure magic. surprises like these just makes life. the creatures that i met later was so happy, seeing wonders like this makes people smile. i love that! see that makes me happy:)

today was a prepp day to create my corpse bride. i am doing one version tomorrow and another on friday, same location but not sure at the moment if i should wear my violette wig or not. purple lipstick or not etc etc. so will do 2 versions!
