a wonderful thursday in richmond

it started with a beautiful morning listening to a fave podcast of mine by filip & fredrik illuminating the world:))) then off it was to richmond for some location scouting. did not find an single spot but did find a glorious lavender bouquet for me to pluck:))) i need to create with it to say thanks to the universe. what on earth shall i do??? maybe it should belong to my flower of the faeries? anyways, afterwards i went to the white swan (wonderful wonderful staff by the way) to sit outside learning some photoshop techniques. had a snack at whole foods (not a very healthy snack hahaha as you can see...very pink though).

came home to dulwich & adopted 3 more girls

and kid, you’ve got to love yourself. you’ve got wake up at four in the morning, brew black coffee, and stare at the birds drowning in the darkness of the dawn. you’ve got to sit next to the man at the train station who’s reading your favorite book and start a conversation. you’ve got to come home after a bad day and burn your skin from a shower. then you’ve got to wash all your sheets until they smell of lemon detergent you bought for four dollars at the local grocery store. you’ve got to stop taking everything so damn personally. you are not the moon kissing the black sky. you’ve got to compliment someones crooked brows at an art fair and tell them that their eyes remind you of green swimming pools in mid July. you’ve got to stop letting yourself get upset about things that won’t matter in two years. sleep in on Saturday mornings and wake yourself up early on sunday. you’ve got to stop worrying about what you’re going to tell her when she finds out. you’ve got to stop over thinking why he stopped caring about you over six months ago. you’ve got to stop asking everyone for their opinions. f--- it. love yourself, kiddo. you’ve got to love yourself.

i had a wonderful morning:) i can highly recommend this book (audio for me) by twyla tharp called the creative habit if you happens to be one of us creators!!! i love it!! today is to focus on my faerie tales of violette and some editing of some flower faerie shoots i have been creating this spring/ early summer. too probably to devour the sunshine:) what are you up to?

this day in may was an amazing one! so much blooms everywhere and i just had so much fun i took way more photos than what i usually do actually. jumping around enjoying life! kew gardens is such an amazing place.

Meet Violette The Faerie

yesterday's journey was a tiny bit exhausting, but decided to go ahead to create my thing anyways! all the while reminding myself of this quote (in terms of what i was up to but also about how to just keep on creating and doing in general):

see i have had a fever going on this week & have not had the energy to prepare for my self-portraits. i have ended up location scouting and doing the shoot of that specific faerie on the same day while being utterly exhausted. twice i did this and the one i created yesterday is decidedly that last time i am doing this ever again. i am happy about the result though. thursday evening i decided (together with  the help of a lovely lily) that i was to do my friday session no matter what (i felt way unprepared...)! i accepted that mistakes might happen and that if so, i can learn from that or it was to give me something else. after a long search for a beautiful spot yesterday at the isabella plantation i found a special place:) started posing ballerina style while meeting lovely people whom stopped by to say hi & to see what i saw in my view finder! from listening to this mornings podcasts & one in particular from the unmistakable creative is that this is a gift. it's a gift that i can provide curiousness in people and that it may brighten their day seeing me looking maybe ridicoulous (obviously i hope for cuteness faerie or alike hahaha). too, that we have chances of the meeting! i am to be more open for those meetings forever and ever now.

Meet A Mary Pickford Fairy Ballerina Cheeky Sweetness

the above faerie i created on saturday at the isabella plantation! i have been hugely inspired by the cuteness actress mary pickford, such a cheekiness talented creature:)) so my poses & attitude were inspired by her.

my saturday:

this day did not start out that well! first of all i had forgotten that i did not take out my contact lenses the night before so this morning i put on another pair...!!! on my morning walk i could not focus, i was seeing "double", i was dizzy! when i came home to put on  make up on my face, i could hardly see what i did in the mirror....my eyes could not focus. i almost thought someone serious was going on with my health. then on my walk to the train which was to take me to my location i was starting to think i was crazy whom went ahead with my day! all of a sudden though:) i remember about having 2 contacts in at the same time, i did this a few years back. so at my station i tried taking one layer off, and YES, HALLELUJAH! a new world opened up hahaha. thank goodness!

when there, at the plantation, i found a location and started shooting the above only to cut my foot so i started bleeding heavily. let me say this: i was now ready to give up! feet bleed. my capezzio ballerinas are now covered in blood. lovely! i changed in to a long turquoise dress and found my next location:) sometimes i am proud of myself! 

this is where the loveliness of my day started. 2 women on a distance started taking pictures of me and i was wondering who on earth they were and why etc etc. they came closer and the mother (which i did not know then that she was) saw my foot bleeding and she just came to my rescue. they were having a picnic around the corner from where i had decided to have my second location and she went to get cleaning thingies & a bandaid:)) she fixed me up like a nurse would have done. then they invited me for a glass of wine and to enjoy their beautiful company that afternoon. such a beautiful family i got to devour. such blessings! such blessings right:)?

today:

 i have been location scouting at kew gardens. did not find anything good so will have to try the isabella plantation again tomorrow. i am to create my last faeries these coming days, at least for this year. i might compliment with a couple more next spring:) we will see!

A Sunshine Faerie Brilliance Isabella Thursday:)

hey:)

today has been perfection happiness! created 2 flower faeries at the isabella plantation in richmond park. it is such a warm day, was almost sweating in my sweetness dresses...!!! such luxury i'd say. afterwards i took a walk around this wonderplace to devour all the beauty set in front of my eyes! now = a pub by the river called the white cross! a view of the river and happy people everywhere....just saying:) life now is beautiful! let me keep this foreverandever please dear god in the heavens.

went location scouting at the isabella plantation in richmond park & found 3 wonderfully perfect locations and like millions of beautiful flowers to devour:))) it's such a cold windy day but sort of forgot about that while finding such beauty! now i am starting to feel that stress of my locations and its flowers.... that they are to wilt before i come back.....help!!! too shall i do my bride there or my sweetness flower faerie? and which dress? veil or not? mademoiselle havisham desperate? or let the sweetness cuteness happiness faerie live here forever and ever:)? just arrived butterfly style at the new inn so that = time to plan it all before going back home to dulwich to delve  into my clothing racks!
